Dear Oyster River Families, 

The ORCSD School Board appointed Suzanne Filippone as interim superintendent for the 2026-2027 school year.

As assistant superintendent, Ms. Filippone has led districtwide efforts in curriculum improvement and instruction. She has coordinated the student assessment program and worked to strengthen the professional development of our staff, while supporting policy, strategic planning, and leadership in the schools.

Ms. Filippone is a talented educator and administrator with deep experience in this district. Her leadership over the next year will be crucial to the continued success of our schools. Her work is grounded in a strong belief that all students deserve equitable, rigorous learning opportunities, and a supportive school environment.
