ORMS Walk a Mile Fundraiser

On Friday November 3, 2023, the Oyster River Middle School (ORMS) will host a walk-a-thon inspired by its Advisories with a focus on empathy and respect.

Students, staff, and community members are invited to try to consider another person’s perspectives, experiences, and motivations before making a judgement.

Participating students and staff will walk a mile to symbolize “walking in someone else’s shoes”. The school's goal is to raise $1,000 for SafePassage, a nonprofit school working in Guatemala City to provide an education for students living around the Guatemala City garbage dump.
