Spirits were high and the ambiance electric at the Oyster River High School (ORHS) on Thursday, March 28, 2024, as Oyster River Middle School (ORMS) staff played against a group of students during the school’s first ever March Madness event.

The turnout was impressive. Students, staff, families, and community members in attendance filled the gymnasium’s bleachers, whose capacity is over 670 people.

Various items were offered at the concession stand and guests were invited to purchase rubber ducks to partake in the much-anticipated Chuck a Duck activity during the intermission.

The event, organized by ORMS team members, was a fundraising opportunity to support the school’s student activity fund and end of the year celebrations. $2,200 were raised for these activities.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event!
