Have you ever driven by Mast Way late at night and seen the lights still on with a lone figure diligently moving through the classrooms? Maybe you have marveled at how beautifully polished the flagstone corridor appears when you attend Open House, or noticed that not one surface has a speck of dust covering it? This is all thanks to our wonderful custodial staff.
We would like to introduce you to Dave Morin, Jen DuBois, and Grace Benzant. They work tirelessly to make our school a clean, bright, and safe place for our students and staff.
Each morning, Mr. Dave is the first person in the building, mopping floors, unlocking doors, and ensuring the cafeteria and gym are ready for the day. He has been at our school for over twenty years, and the students absolutely love him. They know he will always stop to say hello or fix a broken toy or classroom item. Throughout the day, walkie-talkies constantly echo with calls for Mr. Dave to come save the day.
At the end of each school day, you will find Jen and Grace whisking their way through classrooms with backpack vacuums, reminiscent of the Ghostbusters. However, they are not hunting ghosts. Instead, they are eradicating the building of sand, snack crumbs, wood chips, and any pet rocks that may have made their way into the building in a child's pocket.
Our school could not run without our wonderful team of custodians. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
