Dear Oyster River Families,
Bus routes for the 2025-2026 school year are now available. Please note that bus routes are an ongoing process, and changes may happen. Make sure you verify that the information has not changed before the first day of school.
You may use the “Bus Routes and Elementary Boundaries” link on our website to find out your student(s)’s bus information.
Once on the webpage, you may view your route, bus stop location, and times for pick up and drop off by following these three steps:
- Enter your address in the top left corner.
- Select the appropriate grade level.
- Click “Search”.
Students living in the walk zone will be listed as "walk zone". If you have not registered your child(ren), please do so to view your bus assignment.
Bus Schedule
Bus routes are on time constraints, and our drivers cannot wait for students or parents. If a child misses the bus, we are unable to return to pick up students. Please make sure you are at the bus stop 5 minutes before your scheduled arrival time.
Information for Grades K-4
Students in grades K-4 must be met by a responsible adult at the bus stop. When you registered, you had the option to let 3rd and 4th grade students get off the bus without an adult. If you didn’t choose that option but would like to now, please contact our Transportation Department.
In the afternoon, if a child in grades K-4 does not have an adult present to pick them up, we will call the parents and let them know where the last stop is on the route for them to meet the bus.
Student Safety
Please never chase the bus or run up next to the bus. This creates unsafe situations for our students and drivers. Due to the number of students on buses, extra riders will not be allowed on buses. View this video to learn more about transportation safety.
Barrington Families
Barrington students can find their bus routes on the Barrington School District website here. If you have any questions, you may contact Barrington Transportation Liaison Brigid Connelly at bconnelly@sau74.org, or 603-664-2715.
Roadwork in Durham
The Town of Durham is still working on road improvements. During the first week of school, traffic on Madbury Rd will be limited to one lane traveling north between Garrison Ave and Edgewood Rd, and it won't be possible to turn left on Madbury Rd from Bagdad Rd.
This may cause delays to our bus schedules and your commute. Students walking to school may have to use gravel sidewalks and construction equipment may be in the way. To receive updates on roadwork projects in Durham, families can subscribe to the town’s Friday Updates newsletter.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Trisha Daley or Lisa Huppe at the Transportation office or by phone at 603-868-1610.
